TAMIYA
P-51
An
absoloute gem of a kit, goes together easily with the use of very little
filler. The interior is a little bland and a the instrument panel is
probably the poorest part. No doubt there is a resin cockpit available
and the next one I make i`ll use one. The poorest fit is the landing
light in the wing which I recommend fitting before painting. I used
an e-z mask for the canopy, well worth it. Painted in Gunze Sangeo, decals
by aeromaster. Model pre-shaded. Tamiya smoke for exhaust and gun staining.
White stripes painted on, much easier than decaling.

TAMIYA
BF-109
Another
reasonably easy kit to build, a little filler needed in the wing roots,
the support struts for the tail seemed a little short and may need a
little work. The cockpit is sound in detail and I added seat belts,
by' Re-Heat'. I used the daecals from the Hasegawa kit and Gunze Sangeo
paints. Model was pre-shaded first and tamiya smoke for exaust and gun
staining. Aircraft is from 2/jg27 1941.
